Executive Programme in Applied Finance (EPAF)
Applied Finance is a field of study in business-related models with quality structure of methods and applications of identifying and solving issues in finances. IIM Kozhikode’s Executive Programme in Applied Finance (EPAF) equips the participants with the state-of-the-art financial toolkit to evaluate investment opportunities considering both risk and returns. The primary focus of the course is to enable participants to understand the relevance of key financial management concepts and make decisions towards overall corporate finance strategies. This course also covers the key strategic issues of business finance related to financial risk management, investment and portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, and other related issues. The current best finance practices are also illustrated using management cases and their analysis leading to business decisions.

Pedagogy
The teaching approach will be highly interactive taking advantage of the technological benefits. The pedagogy followed for the programme will be a judicious blend of lectures, case studies and participants experience sharing.

Programme Delivery
Sessions will be conducted via a state-of-the-art Interactive Learning (IL) platform and delivered in Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode that can be accessed by learners on their Desktop, Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone.
Participants will be provided with the reading material for each course.
Campus Immersion
- There will be 2 days of campus immersion at IIM Kozhikode.
- The in-campus modules are subjected to the conditions that prevail at the point of time. These conditions pertain to the pandemic or other unavoidable reasons. In case the current situation maintains the status quo, adequate alternate options with regards to the in-campus modules will be made available via online sessions.

Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma (10+2+3) or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) or Integrated Master’s Degree (10+2+5) or equivalent from a recognised university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU) in any discipline
- Minimum THREE years of work experience* after completion of qualifying education
*Internships and Training experiences will not be considered in full-time work experience
Admission Criteria
- The selection will be based on candidate’s profile evaluation, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
- Final selection of participants will be solely done by IIM Kozhikode.
Assessment and Certification
Evaluation
- Evaluation methodology is the discretion of the faculty. The methodology includes online exams, case analysis, class contribution and any other component as decided by the faculty.
- The programme may require participants to work on individual/group assignments and/or projects. The main objective of such assignments/projects will be to help the participants apply their conceptual learning in the programme to actual organisational decision scenarios. The participants will have to secure the minimum pass marks in the respective evaluation components.
Attendance Criteria
A minimum of 75% attendance is a prerequisite for the successful completion of the programme.
