The Startup ecosystem is booming in India due to the IT revolution, technological development, and flexible government policies. While the acceptance of startups is encouraged in order to boost the nation’s economy, entrepreneurs do have to face some challenges initially when they plan to set their operations right from scratch. In this purview, IIM Kashipur announces the launch of its Executive Development Programme in Entrepreneurship. The course can equip you with the necessary skills and expertise to help you shape your career as an entrepreneur. With a vision to promote entrepreneurship, the course nurtures you completely to help you grow into business tycoons capable of running a successful venture.

IIM Kashipur’s Executive Development Programme in Entrepreneurship has been designed with the specific purpose of identifying, nurturing, and supporting young entrepreneurs in realising their dreams. This prestigious programme imparts essential knowledge on how to start one’s own business venture and the various factors that influence successful set-up and sustainable operations.

Programme Details


The teaching approach will be highly interactive and leverage technology and deploy diverse pedagogical tools and techniques, including lectures, case studies, assignments, quizzes, project work, etc.

Programme Delivery

Sessions will be conducted via a state-of-the-art Interactive Learning (IL) platform and delivered in Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode that can be accessed by learners on their Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, or Smartphone. The lectures will be delivered by eminent faculty from IIM Kashipur. The programme will also include guest lectures by members from the Investor community as well as Entrepreneurs to provide practical insights.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Diploma (10+2+3)/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (10+2+3 or 10+2+4)/2 Years Master’s Degree or Equivalent from a recognised university (UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU/State Government) in any discipline
  • 2 years of experience is preferable after completion of qualifying education
  • Participants who fulfil the above criteria but are not working currently are also eligible for the programme.
    *Internships and training experiences will not be considered in full-time work experience

Admission will be based on the overall profile of the applicants.

Assessment and Certification


Periodic evaluations are built-in throughout the duration of the course. These may be in the form of a quiz, assignment, group project, case study, or other objective/subjective assessment. The evaluations are designed to ensure continuous student engagement with the course and encourage practical learning. Qualifying criteria for assessments: 60%

Attendance Criteria

A minimum of 75% attendance is a prerequisite for the successful completion of the programme.


o Participants who successfully meet the evaluation criteria and satisfy the requisite attendance criteria will be awarded a ‘Certificate of Completion’.
o Participants who are unable to clear the evaluation criteria but have the requisite attendance will be awarded a ‘Certificate of Participation’.

In this session, we will discuss the essentials of idea generation, sources of ideas, and identifying the best possible idea for oneself.

What’s your Strategy?

What is a strategy and how should entrepreneurs go about crafting a strategy for their ventures.

What’s the Innovation?

Participants will be introduced to the concepts of innovation and its usage in their ventures.

Who’s your customer?

We will discuss how and where to look for potential market, and the basic principles of entrepreneurial marketing.

What’s your Value Proposition?

So you have found a market need, but what value do you bring to the table for the customer? And how are you better suited in meeting the demands of your customer?

What’s your Financial Plan?

Participants will be introduced to the basic concepts of financial planning, valuations and sources of revenues.

What’s your People Plan?

We will cover the basic issues pertaining to recruitment and retaining of people in start-ups and identifying people with an entrepreneurial mindset.

What’s your Growth Plan?

So you have set up your venture, how fast do you scale? Is the market as lucrative as it looked from outside? How do you play the game? The session focuses on issues and challenges in scaling the market while testing and improvising upon your B-plan

Comprehensive Business Planning – Campus Module

All participants will make a comprehensive business plan and present their business plans to faculty and experts in entrepreneurship.
